Homeless Artist

in response to Stephanie59...   yes. I am. It's true. Death is not the end of me. Divine intervention, but I could use a little money too. It's so sad suffering in the cold every year. I'm just looking for a normal job now. A movie theater guy or anything! Poverty has become to painful, no mater my amount of spirit.

What's on your heart and mind today?

in response to friedapplepie...   I've never gotten the guts. All I can do is stand on the side of the super information highway (90's reference to the internet) and beg for youtube views... what a a sad future eh?

YouTube Partner Program

Woo hoo! Hey miss Bee's Knees Shizam. I got (not quite partner) but full monetization on all my videos now! It's a limited trial of video monetization for youtube accounts. It's doesn't say I'm a "partner" per-say, but I have the option to claim full copyright ownership and monetize at upload now. It's very cool! Here is my latest video. http://youtu.be/VaXh3qSLE_w

Online Jobs

in response to Bee's Knees...   You are welcome. I have the last two covered.. I'd try fiverr but it already seems like it has a ton of people and I don't know how well I'd stand out.

Does anyone care anymore?

I hear you. I've experienced the same. It's totally disheartening how the more you search and actually ASK for help, the more cold and corrupt you find their organizations to be. I think most "HELP" orgs are there to exploit people who need help, on the one end, and to vampire the good will of the community, on the other end.
If the normal everyday people ever do have a good will to help someone, it gets circumvented by the supposed non profits and churches. The people who need the help never get it. But the social workers sure as hell get a paycheck. I hope you figure out a way to survive man. I'm living in a small shed myself. winters coming.. I'm more concerned about food then money.. At least I can sit in a coffee shop and use the wi-fi all day.. peace.

What's on your heart and mind today?

I just feel like getting some more views on my Youtube videos.. I've only been making 8 and 9 cents a day lately and that sucks! SO I'm looking around for good communities who might watch my videos so the next Google Check can come quicker.. I'm doing ok.. my next hundred bucks will be coming in the first week of October.. Don't ask me how I survive for 3 months on $100.. anyway, enough typing, more video watching!

Check out my video?

I just recovered my password here! So I'm back and looking around.. There seems to be a better social aspect to this sites network since the last time I saw it. I'm kinda figuring out how to get in everyones visitors lists.. I'm thinking I can drive traffic to a youtube video or maybe my blogger, cause they have adsense on them. So it's kinda fun. I don't need to beg for help if I can drive enough traffic for spare change.

I hope the embed code works...

YouTube: Now Anyone Can Be a Star (and make money)

I have an idea! First I'll subscribe to you. I thought I should show people how to make popcorn with oil rather then a microwave.. but that's just a thought.. really I think quickly MARKETING your video after uploading helps tremendously. Embedding videos HERE is the right idea..I'll tell you a story about what happened to me recently. I made a video called Mini-Minneapolis. http://youtu.be/esDyRGnXwnM

In order to get some extra views, I entered it in a video contest, knowing i'd get a few from people judging the entries... Well, it worked! And it worked WELL!

I got enough views QUICK enough for the video to become monitized. I think thats part of the key. You need to get a few thousand views within the first few days... So I was happy with that, but here's the kicker. I WON THE GRAND PRIZE IN THE VIDEO CONTEST!! hahaha.. I would have never expected it! I was just trying to get some extra views! But it was the INTEL Visual Life Contest and I'm the Grand Prize Winner. Crazy huh? I won a new Laptop, a 1TB hard drive, a still cam and an HD Video Cam!  Guess it was my lucky day..

So, maybe that's inspirational. Good luck making your videos!

First Video on YouTube

I've actually been successful at getting 2 videos "monetized" on YouTube. I'll embed one of them. It's awesome we can embed videos in comments here!

Between that and ad-sense on some blogger blogs, I make 2 bucks a day sometimes. Pays for a small coffee and I can sit in a coffee shop producing more content!

If you care to visit the blogger site it's http://globalnewsviews.blogspot.com/

Good luck! Have fun!

EDIT: Hey the embed didn't work! Well, heres the link http://youtu.be/esDyRGnXwnM

I'm from Minneapolis. You have to go to Century Plaza Downtown and apply for section 8 subsidized rent vouchers . But the waiting list is 2 years at least. I don't know> I'm homeless and single myself so I don't qualify for any of the family programs. But you could probably start at Caring and Sharing hands. Here is a list of links for you to check out. Minneapolis Public Housing Authority http://www.ci.minne apolis.mn.us/citywork/other/mp ha.html People Serving People (downtown, families only) http://minneapolis.abou t.com/od/volunteering/ig/Peopl e-Serving-People.--0Q/index.ht m Caring and sharing hands http://www.sharingandca ringhands.org/ I think your best path to take is get into an apartment at People Serving People while you apply for Section 8 from the Minneapolis public Housing Authority. With any luck you'll be in your own place sooner then later, considering the kids. Good luck. *Ray

Homeless Artist

I've tryed art selling with a bit of success. I live and work from my RV. I've been homeless for a decade now.
It's to bad being famous doesn't necessarily mean you'll be rich. I've been writing my experiences in Minnesota for 6 years now... maybe a bit more.. sometimes begging for help, but I never get out of the poverty pit.
I'm always afraid of getting pulled over and my "home" impounded beyond my ability to get it back.
I don't have tabs/registration ($40) the reason I would be pulled over.
It's pretty frustrating when you can't pay for simple things to get your life in order. Even more so when you can't buy food!

I'd drive off with nowhere to park and get caught trying to sleep in a parking lot somewhere with no tabs and this sh*t is just a nightmare. I don't even have gas money. I just want to get my head above water so I can focus on entrepreneurial ideas and get back to doing art projects I was involved in.

I can offer art for money. I have a signature piece that is funny, I'll try to ebay in the near future.

For now, I've figured out how to accept paypal donations! Click the orange button above.

THANKS FOR READING!
Peace on the planet.
~Ray
